Katherine Jetter, the Australian born, New York based jewelry designer, brings her luxe Australian opals to Saks fifth avenue, Bal Harbour Shops on January 30, 2010.

Katherine Jetter, the daughter of a Greek –Australian mother and German father, spent most of her life in England, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. Katherine became a jewelry designer after spending several years in the financial world working for JP Morgan, her passion for designing could not be suppressed, so she went back to school to sharpen her skills, where she became a certified Gemologist and Jewelry Designer, from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

Armed with the accreditation, and knowledge of the rich history of her birthplace, Australia, where 96% of the world’s Opals are found, Katherine now makes one of a kind jewelry for her exclusive clients. Her designs of opals came from the pretty, blue opal she received from her parents, after receiving the top International Baccalaureate Art Prize from Northern Hemisphere Academic year 2001, which she later made into a simple ring setting. She is also inspired by the natural landscapes of her home country, Australia, her signature collection lays tribute to the lush Daintree Rainforest. Katherine’s collection of earrings and bracelets feature lush green ferns of sparkling Tsavorites, scattered with dewy opal water droplets. All jewelry and packaging materials are eco-friendly and recyclable.

Don’t miss the chance to feature exquixite opals from her fine jewelry collection of fine gems. For more information, please call 305.865.1100, ext. 5358 or visit here.
