Jungle Island is set to illuminate the Miami skyline once more with the return of its enchanting Luminosa festival, running from November 14, 2024, to March 8, 2025. This year, the festival features exciting new elements and immersive experiences in addition to its first-ever Holiday Village.
“Luminosa is set to dazzle visitors like never before,” said Jeremy Hauwelaert, President & CEO of Jungle Island. The festival combines cutting-edge technology with timeless storytelling, showcasing attractions such as dragon lanterns and a whimsical storybook pathway that welcomes guests into a magical world.
Highlights include a spectacular walkway lined with animated giant books and nine towering dragon lanterns inspired by Chinese folklore, beautifully illuminated along the park’s water features. Additional themed areas will feature mystical creatures, a candy-themed playground for children, and bioluminescent effects throughout the landscape.
A notable new addition is the Holiday Village, open from November 14 to January 5. This European-style marketplace will host over 100 Christmas trees, food stands offering festive treats, and a grand 30-foot Christmas tree nestled within the park’s forest.
This year’s Luminosa is more ambitious than ever, featuring over 150 tons of steel, 200,000 feet of silk-like fabric, and 56,000 LED bulbs, resulting in more than 40 massive, handcrafted lantern scenes. Over 200 international artists and craftsmen have collaborated on this awe-inspiring project.
Justin Corsa, CEO of LEKTRIK ART, expressed excitement for the upcoming event, promising interactive elements and extraordinary performances. With live acrobatic shows, a shopping bazaar, and festive food and drink options, Luminosa aims to create unforgettable experiences for families, couples, and friends.
Event hours for Luminosa are Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Tickets go on sale October 15, with prices ranging from $30.78 to $46.88 for adults and starting at $21.58 for children, along with discounts for seniors, students, and military personnel.
