Legendary co-founding member and lead guitarist from Aerosmith to perform at pre-game concert for Dolphins vs. Patriots game, with exclusive rendition of “Walk This Way” featuring special guest appearance by T-Pain

MIAMI, FL – November 25, 2009:  The Miami Dolphins announced today that co-founding member, principal co-songwriter, lead guitarist and co-producer of Aerosmith, JOE PERRY, will be the main act at the Land Shark Tailgate Stage on the AT&T Grand Plaza with his band, JOE PERRY PROJECT, on Sunday, December 6th, prior to the Dolphins-Patriots game, with a live performance starting at 12 noon.

Perry and his band will perform a series of songs from his fifth solo CD “Have Guitar, Will Travel,” released in October this year, that will include the album’s first single, “We’ve Got A Long Way To Go.”  In addition to experiencing Perry’s trademark rock and roll based ferocity, fans will be treated to an exclusive rendition of Aerosmith’s unforgettable number one hit single “Walk This Way,” featuring leading singer/rapper and producer, T-PAIN, who will make a special guest appearance with Perry live on-stage.

“I’ve tailgated up north a few times and it’s hard cooking sausage with your fingers frozen,” says Perry.  “I’m looking forward to getting some ribs going in Miami and to being able to feel my fingers, which is always sure to help my performance.”

Perry has hit the road with Joe Perry Project in support of his solo CD.  In addition to Perry on guitar and vocals are bassist David Hull (Buddy Miles Band and Joe Perry Project in the 80s), keyboardist/guitarist Paul Santo, (Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton and Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Marty Richards and lead singer Hagen, who was discovered by Perry’s wife on YouTube.  Perry’s new hard-driving self-written, self-produced 10-song collection follows self-produced solo releases including “Let The Music Do The Talking” (1980), “Once A Rocker, Always A Rocker” (1983), “I’ve Got The Rock ‘N’ Rolls Again” (1981) and 2005’s “Joe Perry,” which earned Perry his first solo Grammy nomination.

Having attracted artists such as Jimmy Buffett, Carmit Bachar of the Pussycat Dolls, Latin Grammy award-winning artists Jesse & Joy for Hispanic Heritage Month, American Idol winner, Kris Allen, and 2009 CMA Musician of the Year, Mac McAnally, the Land Shark Tailgate Stage has become a much anticipated part of the Dolphins’ home-game experience.
