Jeep® is the star of the second Italian edition of ‘Celebrity Fight Night’, one of the major charities events in the world, which returned to Florence after last year’s success from September 9 to 15.
Over one hundred guests, athletes and major international stars attended. They visited Florence, beautiful Tuscany and some of the most important art destinations in Italy, including Pisa and Roma, and took part in the Gala on September 13. Organised by Florentine fashion houses Stefano Ricci and Ermanno Scervino, the Gala will be held in the historical Sala dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio, where Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and the Orchestra Maggio Musicale Fiorentino directed by Maestro Zubin Mehta performed. They joined on stage by other outstanding artists, such as Maria Katzarava and Carly Paoli, 2 Cellos and David Garrett.
The important charity event is organised by the ‘Celebrity Fight Night Foundation’, which was founded over 20 years ago by boxing legend Muhammad Ali, to raise funds for the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. The raised funds will be used by the first in projects for empowering people and communities in Haiti and by the second in research and care for people with Parkinson’s disease. The exclusive event brings together great names of the international jet set for a night of true solidarity: remarkably, over six million dollars, net of expenses, were raised in the past edition alone. Two thirds went to the Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the remaining one third to the Muhammed Ali Parkinson Center.
Delighted to be part of this special event and to contribute to such a great cause, Jeep is supplying a fleet of thirty cars for the international celebrities and guests. Guests visited some of the most charming destinations in Tuscany and reached the various ‘Celebrity Fight Night’ locations and the red carpet at Palazzo Vecchio for Gala on September 13th in style in Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Cherokee.
Actually, the fleet will include Cherokee, the medium-size SUV which is both cutting-edge and true to the Jeep tradition at the same time, now equipped with an innovative 2.2 Multijet II 200 HP turbo diesel engine, and Grand Cherokee, the ‘most awarded SUV ever’, which for several years has been the prestigious Official Car of internationally acclaimed music events, like the ‘Montreux Jazz Festival 2015′ and the Rolling Stones ’14 On Fire’ European tour.
