As the final event in North Miami’s Haitian Heritage Month. Jowee Omicil a native of Montreal Canada with roots in Haiti, plays the alto and tenor saxophone, soprano flute and clarinet in a poetic and harmonious yet powerful style. In his latest release “Roots & Grooves,” Jowee offers an accessible sound with an element of spirituality. He is an “intuitive tone weaver” fusing his singing voice with the “voice” on wind instruments.
