Janet Jackson: “Together Again” tour at Hard Rock Live

Janet Jackson kicked off her “Together Again” tour at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Florida on Friday, April 14 and 16, 2023.

The “Together Again” tour is a celebration of Janet Jackson’s 50 years career with focus on 1997’s “The Velvet Rope”. With more than 180 million records sold worldwide, over five decades, the pop icon showed why she remains one of the most influential and beloved performers in music.

The concert began with a montage of Miss Jackson’s career and life over the years. At the end of the presentation, Janet emerged on stage fully covered from head to toe in a purple hooded costume gown. To a cheering audience, she debuted ‘Damita Jo’, Girlfriend\Boyfriend, Like You Don’t  Love Me and ‘Enjoy’.

She later transitioned to a medley of classic hits like “Rhythm Nation” and “Control” which brought fans to their feet. The audience was immediately transported back to the 1980s as she belted out the lyrics with her signature energy and style. One of the standout moments of the concert was when Jackson performed a medley of songs from her iconic album “Janet.” Miss Jackson donned her famous crop top and baggy pants, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that brought back memories of the 1990s.

With a 40 songs set list, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer delivered a high-energy performance with expertly choreographed routines and seamless transitions between songs. The pop music icon did not disappoint and treated fans with an incredible display of her dance talent and powerful vocals.

While her infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction may be a part of her past, it’s clear that Janet has since been able to put on professional and polished performances without any issues. It seems that all aspects of the show, including the technical elements and costuming, were well planned and executed smoothly.

The five times GRAMMY® Awards winner concluded the show with audience favorites ‘Rhythm Nation’ and ‘Together Again’ the original version to which she delivered an encore performance.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or someone who is new to her music, attending one of her shows is sure to be a memorable and exciting experience.
