Italian Film Festival

The eight edition of the Italian Film Festival in Miami is ready to open its curtains with the screening of ten new films at the Regal Cinema in South Beach starting on the 7th of October and concluding on the 12th.
The heart of any Festival is the presentation of the new films in competition for the Best Film Award as judged by the audience, truly the “Ultimate Judge”, and this year we have quite a selection to include films such as:
“Italians” with Carlo Verdone, Sergio Castellitto and Riccardo Scamarcio (2009),
“Genitori e Figli” directed by Giovanni Veronesi (2010), “Generazione 1000 Euro” by Massimo Vernier (2010),
“Io, Loro e Lara” with Carlo Verdone in the role of a missionary priest (2010),
“Sul Mare”, the latest work by director Alessandro D’ Alatri (2010), and many more surprises.

As always the Festival will open with a screening followed by the anticipated Opening Party at SET on Lincoln Road. Every night we will have after parties throughout the city at the best clubs in town including Louis, Mansion and Mokai. Also, as in the past, we will conclude with our signature Closing Dinner and Award Ceremony in our own private room at Smith and Wollensky in South Point on Tuesday October 12th. Stay tuned and help us spread the news, tell a friend .    PASSES ON SALE NOW AT WWW.CINEMAITALY.COM

The Italian Film Festival announces the selection of “Italians” as the 2010 Opening Film.
This film features two stories and three of the most acclaimed Italian actors in today’s cinema. The first story is a bitter sweet comedy with Riccardo Scamarcio and Sergio Castellitto and the second is one of the most hilarious interpretations I have seen recently of Carlo Verdone.

Come and enjoy the film on Thursday October 7th at the Regal Cinema South Beach or make it a whole evening of entertainment by purchasing the Opening Party pass that will also include food, drinks and a lot of fun at SET right after the screening.
