Informed Families’ free AUGUST 17 “lunch & learn” workshop TO EXPLORE PARENTING CHILDREN WITH DEVELOPMENTAL CHALLENGES

Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership invites parents/caregivers to attend its FREE monthly Lunch & Learn workshop in August titled, “Parenting With A Purpose: Responding to Developmental Challenges.” Guest speaker and world-renowned child development expert Dr. Daniel Armstrong, Ph.D., will discuss various developmental challenges and ways to support a child’s healthy development.

Dr. Armstrong is Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he also serves as the Director of the Mailman Center for Child Development and Director of the University of Miami Sickle Cell Center. Throughout his career, Dr. Armstrong has worked as a pediatric clinical psychologist, conducted a national and international program of research, led one of the nation’s most recognized centers for children with special needs, participated in children’s hospital leadership, developed innovative community programs for child health research, and served as an advocate for child health with local, state, and federal legislators.

An optional $10 box lunch will be available for purchase when making reservations.
