Expectant, new and veteran moms can now turn to the newly revamped, mommy-matching/social networking website called PlaygroupConnect.com to be matched with like-minded moms in their area, completely free. Moms can upload photos, create a profile, message their matches within the secure site and see a listing of mom and kid-friendly places and events happening within a 50-mile radius of the user.
“It’s like a Match.com/Facebook for Moms”, explains Shannon Koonin, a local mother and founder of Playgroupconnect.com.
The website’s founder, Shannon Koonin will be speaking to moms about ‘The Importance of Mommy Relationships’, and ‘How to Initiate a Friendship’ on Wednesday December 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the chic play café, Cool-de-Sac in the Shops at Sunset Place. Talk is preceded by gourmet cookies from Cookie Couture and followed by mini-manicures by Miami Mobile Spa, appetizers, a light lunch and shopping. Open to the public, reservations recommended.
