Hotel Daycations: The Rise of the Day Guest

The Gabriel South Beach
The Gabriel South Beach

A new type of traveler is reshaping the hospitality landscape–the day guest. Instead of checking in overnight, travelers are checking in for the day, seeking luxury experiences without the luggage. According to Resort Pass’ CEO Michael Wolf, Americans are increasingly turning to local experiences and nearby escapes, fueling a shift toward day-use access at high-end hotels. The 2025 Hilton Trends Reportreveals 60% of travelers enjoy lounging at the pool or beach all day, while 71% want to feel pampered when on vacation.

The hotels below are now offering day pass programs for locals looking to escape in luxury without breaking the bank.
