The biggest names in sports and community leadership will walk the red carpet at the seventh annual Reid & Fiorentino Call of the Game Dinner Presented by Publix at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The charitable event to benefit Lauren’s Kids Foundation and Dade Schools Athletic Foundation is hosted by Sun Sports HEAT TV broadcasters and two of South Florida’s leading sports media personalities, Eric Reid and Tony Fiorentino. It attracts some of the region’s biggest names in sports and entertainment and honors achievements by South Florida’s community heroes.
Tracy Mourning, renowned philanthropist and Honey Shine founder, will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event that will include a silent auction as well as a live auction featuring sports memorabilia, luxury vacation packages and one-of-a-kind experiences, among other items.
The evening will feature a special guest presentation by Pat Riley, Miami HEAT team president, as well as a special guest performance by SONY Music Latin America recording artist Pedro Capó. The highlight of the evening will be a number of prestigious awards presented for excellence and leadership in the community. Ron Rothstein, current Miami HEAT assistant coach, will be presented with the Don Shula Sports Legend Award; Dave Van Horne, legendary Miami Marlins broadcaster, will receive the Sonny Hirsch Excellence in Sports Broadcasting Award; Twan Russell will be presented with the Community Service Award for outstanding work throughout South Florida, and the Jim Mandich Courage and Commitment Award will be presented to CNN Correspondent Sara Ganim, the award-winning broadcast journalist who broke the story of the grand jury investigation into Jerry Sandusky.
