Secrets of Miami City Cemetery

Join HistoryMiami’s guide Nathan Samuels as he leads you through this historic graveyard. Hear about graveyard customs from other cultures including Mexico’s Day of the Dead. Learn about the people buried here and see the resting places of some well-known inhabitants, including the Burdine family, Julia Tuttle, Bernard  Mackey of the Inkspots Quartet; Judge Lawson Thomas, first black judge in the South; and Richard Toomey, Miami’s first black lawyer. Summer Camp
Beginning June 10, 2011 from 9 am – 5 pm
HistoryMiami’s Summer Camp is a unique program designed to engage campers in thematic programs and activities that allow them to learn while having fun. For 10 weeks, campers are exposed to indoor and outdoor hands-on activities, including gallery games, music, arts and crafts, drama, field trips to historic sites and many more exciting summertime experiences.

Members: $165/week       Non-Members: $190/week*
*Additional one-time registration fee $20
