The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), W Fort Lauderdale, Cruise Planners, an American Express Travel Representative, Jet Blue and other area partners will host a historic group sunrise beach wedding ceremony on Fort Lauderdale’s famed beachfront in honor of Florida’s landmark ruling in favor of same-sex marriage equality.
Lucky LGBT and straight couples representing 18 U.S. states, London, Italy, and South America will marry or renew their vows. Reverend Dr. Durrell Watkins, senior minister of the Sunshine Cathedral, will preside over the event. Lance Bass, former *NSYNC member and Dancing with the Stars alum, will serve as the event’s “Love is Love” ambassador and help kick off festive celebration.
The historic group wedding on Feb. 5th coincides with Bass making TV history the same day with the broadcast of his wedding in the E! network special Lance Loves Michael – the first American television broadcast of a celebrity marriage between two men.

7:10 am – Procession from hotel to beach
7:30 am – Ceremony begins
8:15 am – Reception and Wedding Toast in the Living Room at W Hotel
