The High School Student Choreography performance will feature new works by outstanding NWSA high school choreographers. Mentored and selected by NWSA faculty, this program is an exciting opportunity to experience a variety of dance styles and choreographic approaches, with outstanding dancing. The program will feature Isabella Bolivar-Lopez’ poignant solo for dancer Zolan Laird, Over and Over; and her thought-provoking and humorous work, See Evil, Hear Evil, But Speak No Evil. Thalia Smith’s work, The Perfect Place is a rollicking and witty group work and Emilia Cohen’s work, Other Dance, set to music by Caroline Shaw, is a lovely contemporary ballet work. These and other works round out this engaging performance.
