The iconic texts featured in Silhouettes: Image and Word in the Harlem Renaissance will be explored in a three-part, exhibition-inspired book club. First up will be Alain Locke’s The New Negro: An Interpretation, a collection of essays, poetry, and fiction highlighting African and African American art and literature. Hosted at Hampton Art Lovers and facilitated by FIU professor of English Dr. Shawn Christian, all details on text selections will be shared upon registration.
