GuitarFest, a free day-long event of masterclasses, workshops, and performances for the Miami community will again be presented by the New World School of the Arts music division. This year’s guest artists are Dr. Marco Sartor (guitar professor at Wake Forest University) and Alvaro Bermudez (guitar director at Ronald Reagan High School). Students can participate in a guitar ensemble masterclass and performance, a workshop on Latin guitar music, and individual masterclasses. The day will conclude with a concert featuring the GuitarFest student ensemble, Marco Sartor, Koh Kazama, and NWSA alumnus Cristian Perez. GuitarFest is centered around the students, providing guitar learners with information and experiences that will further advance their playing. Open to the public, and all levels are welcomed. Registration is required.
