“Green Porno is a series of short scientific stories, made with a great sense of humor and fantasy. This is what we artists do. We tell serious things in the most accessible, entertaining way, and Isabella is a very progressive and talented artist.”

-Robert Redford

“As a storyteller, Isabella is at once an awestruck little girl and a regal beauty with a hair-trigger laugh and a taste for the Grand Guignol. She is frank, practical, perceptive, refreshingly morbid and always surprising”-Guy Maddin

Waters Journey – Everglades: Restoring Hope

(Documentary directed by Wes Skiles/USA/56 mins.)

The Florida Everglades is a land of beauty and diversity. Over the past century, everything that has been done to the Everglades was done in the name of progress. However, endless draining and development of what was once part of a vast floodplain has pushed the Everglades to the brink of collapse. In and effort to protect one of the greatest wetlands on the planet, a massive restoration plan has been initiated. If successful, the needs of the environment and the needs of millions of people will be met. If it fails – the survival of South Florida hangs in the balance. Join a team of scientists and explorers as they plunge into the heart of the Everglades to learn about what’s happened to this once great place and what’s being done to restore and protect it.

The film will be introduced and followed by Q&A with and expert TBA.
