To welcome Art Week and present a unique art showcase of gold inspired and enhanced art and lifestyle installations titled “GOLD FOR LIFE” at a spectacular waterfront estate on Palm Island to top art collectors, socialites, royalty and VIPs. The event benefits two very special charities that come to the aid of children in need around the world through art: A Gift for Life and United Aliens Artists Foundation.

CHARITY: A Gift for Life (www.agiftforlife.us) is a non profit organization whose purpose is to save lives and give hope to humanity by supporting efforts of medical professionals who find cures for disease.
A Gift for Art believes medicine is a bridge for peace. It was founded by Paula Roldos when her young daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia and was cured at age 5. Paula started painting, creating “gifts for life” with proceeds from sales going to medical research. The organization is based in the U.S..A. where a group of medical professionals and art personalities participate in a board of trustees to materialize her vision. It is the intent to fund the research and medical training proposals presented by specialized cancer research centers around the world though 5 star fundraiser events. They support the efforts of the following institutions: Miami Children’s Hospital, Baptist Children’s Hospital, University of Miami School of Medicine, Hadassah Hospital, International center for Cell Therapy & Cancer Immunotherapy , DKMS America and l’Archet CHU in Nice and others to come.
United Aliens Artists Foundation (www.UnitedAliensArtistsFoundation.org) is a non profit organization founded in 1998, based in Miami with a mission to alleviate the affects of poverty on children around the world by fulfilling their basic needs, education and souls via art, ecology and culture, with the philosophy that permanent learning enables them to be part of the community and integrate into society.

ABOUT GOLD FOR LIFE 2010: “The fallout from the financial crisis with depreciated real estate and stock market prices, have all lead to gold once again being the safe haven of choice worldwide. This is where my inspiration came from for this year’s theme to kick-off Art Week in Miami and thus, the inception of ‘Gold for Life 2010, “ remarked Hope Gainer of Hope International. “I felt this was a year to showcase this very special timeless precious metal, GOLD,” adds Gainer. “All of the art and lifestyle installations were created with a gold theme”. We decided to play off the charity name “A Gift for Life” and name our event “Gold for Life” with the meaning that giving gold can help save lifes. Rather than the usual charity event that requires you to write a check, we are offering the guests an alternative option of donating a piece of 10 carat or greater gold jewelry to the charity. A gold buyer will be on-site weighing and evaluating the current market value of the donated gold pieces.
The Gold Buyer, Plate USA, Inc. (specialists in estate jewelry), will then buy the gold donated items from the charity and give ‘A Gift for Life’ a cash donation. This money will go towards funding pediatric cancer research projects. We will tell our guests a story with a happy ending.. ‘A Gift for Life’ founder, Paula Roldos’ daughter, Lauren was diagnosed with cancer at age 3 and now at age 7 is cured due to all the advancements in research that provide a 95% chance for life today to children. Paula starting painting when her daughter got well and founded a ‘Gift for Life’. The sales from her artwork go to fund specific research projects for doctors and hospitals worldwide. This is her first fundraising effort in the USA. She participated in an event at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. ‘Gold for Life’ will present a diverse selection of both renowned and emerging artists from around the world displaying artwork within the gold theme. We have artists from South America to the South Pacific to Europe, Cuba and Miami.
Cuban born artist Jorge Fernandez (www.jorgefernandezart.com) will have a sculpture garden display mixing both his signature metal pieces adorned with gold touches alongside a heart shaped blow up sculpture reaching heights of nearly 50 feet from the “Giants in the City” (www.giantsinthecity.com) concept. He will be projecting gold images of greed on his inflatable heart..
Swiss artist, Dante (www.dantedesign.ch ) who creates 24 carat gold car sculptures is showing his Aston Martin for the first time in USA. It was unveiled first in Monaco May 2010 by Sir Roger Moore with Prince Albert.
French artist, Marc Hubert D’Ge (www.dejavuassociation.com) is presenting an “Sexpixol” installation titled “Holy Sperm” which is a portrait of himself as Jesus Christ pixelated with over 2000 penis pictures on a cross made from cans from a defunct ratatouille factory outside of Aix en Provence.
Czech artist, Tomas Loewy (www.coolpoolevents.com ) will have floating female golden goddess images in the pool. Dutch artist, Piet Van will display a million dollars on a gold pushcart.
While Princess Sylviane D’Isangel of Tanna is showcasing a painting of timeless golden girl, Marilyn Monroe.
Music will fill their air from Cuban born protégé, Galaxy Girl (www..galaxygirl.tv ) to sensual saxman, Alto Reed of Greek heritage. .
Gold fashions will be interpreted at opposite ends of the spectrum from Haute Couture by Roberto Devillas (www.devillacis.com ) to Latex Couture balloon babes created by Carmen Ballering.
