This weekend was the world premiere of Cotton’s 24-Hour Runway Show in South Beach, which featured special appearances by host Giuliana Rancic from E! News and E! Fashion Police and performances by DJ Irie, DJ Ross One, DJ Joe Maz, Aulden Brown and Juan Mejia. Additional hosts included: Michael Yo, Cindy Taylor, Scott Evans and Carla Fisher.Featuring 1,440 looks—one look per minute—to celebrate The Fabric of Our Lives ®, each hour featured everyday 24 hour looks from “Modern Glam” to “Sunday Brunch.” The Runway Show showcased the latest styles highlighting the versatility of cotton for stylish looks in every moment of the day. Making this pioneer event relevant to the upcoming trendsetting season, designers have made Cotton a premiere fabric pick in Spring 2012 collections in everything from denim styles to bridal couture.
Timing is not only a thematic element of the event, but a practical one as well. Cotton’s 24 Hour Runway Show featured apparel from over 50 different local and national retailers such as: 7 For All Mankind, AG Jeans, American Apparel, Anne Dunwoody, Anthony Franco, Athleta, Atrium, Be Shorts, Betsey Johnson, Chris Kole, Forever 21, ITEM, Denim Habit, GAP, Guess and many more. The runway show provided an opportunity for these retailers to present the versatility of their own cotton offerings in a unique presentation format, and just ahead of the biggest retail-shopping day of the year.
