Get Crackin’ Brunch at Joe’s Stone Crab for Feeding South Florida on April 21

Joe's Stone Crab Invitation V2Joe's Stone Crab Invitation V2Feeding South Florida™ is joining forces with the legendary Joe’s Stone Crab restaurant in Miami Beach to present the nonprofit organization’s inaugural “Get Crackin’” private brunch on Sunday, April 21. The unique event will support the mission of Feeding South Florida, while honoring some of its most vehement supporters:  Honoree and local celebrity Chef Allen Susser, Media Hero Honoree The Miami Herald and Corporate Citizenship Honoree Southern Wine & Spirits.

Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading advocacy efforts in hunger and poverty, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.

 

Over 300 attendees are expected to gather at Joe’s Stone Crab, located at 11 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139, to celebrate the honorees and enjoy the famously delicious Joe’s cuisine. The brunch will kick off with an 11 a.m.noon reception, followed by brunch from 122 p.m.  The menu will feature scrumptious main course selections including stone crab claws, salmon, steak, and chicken; plus Joe’s delectable signature sides: coleslaw, spinach and hash browns. Guests will also enjoy Mimosa, champagne, and red and white wines.

 

Feeding South Florida CEO Paco Vélez and “Get Crackin’” Chair/Feeding South Florida Board of Directors Chair Diana Brooks will present honorees with awards to recognize their devotion to providing a brighter future and new hope for the nearly 1 million children, seniors and families that Feeding South Florida serves in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties.

 

“The honorees have truly made the difference in the lives of our hungry neighbors, ensuring they have the chance to succeed in life, which they wholeheartedly deserve,” said Vélez.  “By holding this event, we are pleased to take the opportunity to thank them for exemplifying what it means to affect the South Florida community in such a profound way.”

Event sponsorships ranging from $1,500 to $20,000 are available to support the event and Feeding South Florida’s mission. Individual tickets are priced at $150.
