Mardi Gras Casino presents Funny Fridays every TGIF in June. This week’s comedian, L.A. Hardy, takes the stage at 9:00 p.m. in the casino’s second floor sports bar, recently coined The Dawg House Bar & Grill. There is no cover charge for Funny Fridays, but seating is limited and on a first come first serve basis. Great drink specials will be available including $3 domestic drafts and $4 imported drafts.
A natural actor, L.A. has appeared on MTV, VH1, ABC’s According to Jim, BET’s ComicView and also has voice credits in the movie “Guess Who” with Bernie Mac.
He has performed stand-up comedy for the U.S. Military and was among the first of a group of comedians to perform in Iraq in Aug/Sept 2003. In 2004 he traveled to Afghanistan to entertain the troops. He has headlined tours worldwide for the USO, The Dept of Defense, Comics on Duty, and AKA Productions since 1994. He has also done national print work for Dockers “Nice Pants” ads and continues to perform in voice-over.
