From Judy Blume to Broadway: May Events at The Hub Miami

From the journalist behind the first major biography of Judy Blume (the voice behind the adolescent classic Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret) to a Tony Award-winning Broadway actor known for his breakout role in The Band’s Visit, The Hub Miami is bringing two standout, talent-driven evenings to South Miami this May.

Continuing its momentum following its third anniversary this month, The Hub is carving out a niche for intimate and story-led programming, giving audiences rare, up-close access to the writers and performers shaping today’s cultural conversation in a setting that feels far more personal than a traditional theater.

An Evening with…Tony Award Winner Ari’el Stachel
Tuesday, May 19 | 7 PM

Tony Award-winning actor Ari’el Stachel comes to The Hub for a one-night-only evening of storytelling, performance and dialogue drawn from his acclaimed solo show. Written and performed by Stachel, the piece blends humor, vulnerability, and striking character work to explore identity, mental health, and belonging through the lens of his experience as an Arab-Jewish artist. Reflecting on his lifelong struggle with OCD, the pressure to assimilate, and the fractures that emerged in the aftermath of 9/11, Stachel traces a deeply personal journey of hiding, reshaping, and ultimately reclaiming himself. Powerful, darkly funny, and emotionally raw, the evening offers an intimate look at one artist’s attempt to make sense of heritage, anxiety and wholeness in a divided world.
