FRIENDS OF NEW WORLD SYMPHONY HOST SEASON-ENDING PARTY AT GRAND CENTRAL

The New World Symphony’s “Friends of New World Symphony,” a patron group dedicated to fostering the next generation of classical music enthusiasts and supporters, hosts their 25th Anniversary Season-ending party following the NWS’ final performance of the season, Saturday, May 4. The after party at Grand Central, which will be open to the public, pays homage to the decade in which the organization was founded, and will feature a 1980’s theme.

The Friends of NWS after party follows the New World Symphony’s performance at the Arsht Center, conducted by Marek Janowski and featuring pianist Orion Weiss in one of the most popular and instantly recognizable classical works, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. Also on the program will be R. Strauss’ Don Juan, and Burleske for Piano and Orchestra. The concert begins at 8:00 PM. Drinks for the Friends finale event are courtesy of GREY GOOSE Vodka.

Tickets: For the season-finale party are $40 in advance, $60 at the door, and are available by calling the New World Symphony box office at 305-673-3331 or online via www.nws.edu/afterhours.
