Free Gospel Sundays: Le’Andria Johnson and the Miami Mass Choir

Le’Andria Johnson

Sunday, October 27
KNIGHT CONCERT HALL

Grammy Award winner Le’Andria Johnson captured our hearts after winning Season 3 of BET’s Sunday Best competition. During her audition, she won the judges over with her rendition of “This Is the Day the Lord Hath Made,” and was selected to compete, quickly rising to the top pick of voters and judges alike. According to gospel star Kirk Franklin, Le’Andria Johnson “is a shining example of God’s grace.”

Johnson’s first album, 2011’s The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Gospel Album charts, and won a Grammy Award, making her the first Sunday Best contestant to receive a Grammy.

Miami Mass Choir has a celebrated recording history which goes back to the release of their first album in 1997. The album featured the breakout song, ‘What God Has For Me, It is For Me,” and climbed to number 25 on Billboard’s Top Selling Gospel Albums Chart, earning several awards including the Stellar Award for Choir of the Year.

*Details about First-Access Passes and the Standby Line
Free Gospel Sundays is a very popular series and, occasionally, First-Access Passes are fully reserved. We do our best to accommodate all our guests in the standby line, including those without a pass – and we usually can!

There is a 4 pass limit per guest. First-Access Passes do not guarantee admission. First-Access Passes give guests access to seats beginning one hour prior to curtain, and seating is “first come, first admitted” for the performance. First-Access Passes expire 15 minutes prior to show time.

Guests without a First-Access Pass, and any Pass holders who arrive after 4:15 p.m., are invited to join the standby line beginning at 3:30 p.m. Guests in the standby line will be seated beginning at 4:15 p.m. – if seats are still available.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy a variety of pre-show activities and giveaways before each performance.
