Under a cool and misty Sunday night supporters for the fight against breast cancer gathered at the Roof Top at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa for the Fourth Annual Pink Gala. The fundraiser was organized by Sherri Martens-Cortez in honor of her mother, Linda Martens who lost her courageous battle with breast cancer in the fall of 2006. Supporters were treated to live music, belly dancers, a pink fashion show and a swanky raffle. The Pink gala has raised close to $250,000 in the last three years, of which 100 percent of the proceeds benefit the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Affiliate.
