FLORIDA’S OWN EMMY AWARD WINNING JOURNALIST, TRINA ROBINSON, JOINS ACTOR HILL HARPER AS CO-HOST OF THE woman2woman breast cancer Foundation Pink Diamond Ball Taking place April 9th in plantation, FL

On April 8th and 9th in Plantation Florida, the Woman2Woman Breast Cancer Foundation will host its 2nd Annual “Real Men Support Pink” Celebrity Golf Tournament and Pink Diamond Ball.  Actor Hill Harper and WTBJ’s Trina Robinson will host the Pink Diamond Ball and silent auction and Grammy Award winning artist, Yolanda Adams is set to perform.

Founded in 2007, Woman2Woman founders Jacqueline R. Gray and Kevin Gray formed the organization to ensure, through information, early detection and support, that no woman faces breast cancer alone.  Recently named one of Ebony magazine’s Power 100 (January, 2011) as an emerging leader in health, Jacqueline and Kevin have provided assistance to thousands of individuals whose lives are affected by breast cancer.

The Woman2Woman annual events are major sources of funding that allow them to operate and provide services to those in our nation who desperately need assistance.  This past October, Woman2Woman hosted a private evening for more than 100 guests with acclaimed Chef G. Garvin serving up a special culinary experience.  The evening, appropriately titled, “A Night Under The Stars,” was a celebration of the foundation’s mission to improve the quality of life for breast cancer patients, survivors, their families and individuals who are in need of breast health education, information, financial assistance and resources.

Woman2Woman continues to bring breast health awareness to the community through health fairs, educational programs such as “A Day For You,” financial assistance grants, publications and newsletters, and patient and family care centers.

This year’s special performer, Yolanda Adams, has earned numerous accolades for her shining efforts, including the first American Music Award for Contemporary Gospel Artist and five National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Grammy® Awards.

This year’s host, Hill Harper, is an award winning actor, bestselling author and philanthropist.  He stars on the TV drama CSI:NY and is the author of three New York Times bestsellers. His collective writing and acting work has been recognized with six NAACP Image Awards.

Jacqueline R. Gray, states, “The support of Hill Harper and Yolanda Adams means a lot to us.  We are honored that they are taking time out of their busy schedules to support our cause.”  She adds, “On this evening, our breast cancer survivors are going to be uplifted and have the experience of a lifetime.”
