Mozart’s Don Giovanni features Grammy Award-winner Elliot Madore, Cuban-American Soprano Elizabeth Caballero, named one of Miami’s “Most Influential People” by Miami New Times, and company debut of soprano Elizabeth de Trejo

Florida Grand Opera is pleased to announce that single tickets are on sale for the 2019/20 season in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. The 79th season includes Mozart’s masterpiece, Don Giovanni; back by popular demand, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly; Verdi’s Italian classic, Rigoletto; and the Miami premiere of Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto (The Secret Marriage). Miami performances will be at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and Fort Lauderdale performances will be at the Broward Center for Performing Arts, with the performances of Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto (The Secret Marriage) at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium. For the 2019/20 season, all operas will be directed by internationally-acclaimed women stage directors for the first time in company history.

Single Tickets and Subscriptions for the 2019/20 season are currently on sale, and includes two, three, and four opera packages available in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Single Tickets start at $15 in Miami, and $21 in Fort Lauderdale.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni
November 16 – December 7, 2019, in Miami and Fort Lauderdale
Don Giovanni is the story of the world’s greatest lover, Don Juan, a young, arrogant, and charismatic aristocrat, who will stop at nothing to fulfill his ravenous lust. But when a midnight seduction ends in murder, Don Giovanni soon finds himself pursued on all sides by those he has wronged in the past. Starring Grammy Award-winner baritone Elliot Madore, this masterwork is a brilliant combination of an engrossing story of seduction and vengeance set to the musical genius of Mozart.

Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly

A love affair goes horribly wrong in a fateful collision of East and West. Set in 1890’s Japan, Puccini’s exotic opera is a heartbreaking story of betrayal, abandonment, and sacrifice. Starring internationally acclaimed soprano Sandra Lopez as Cio-Cio-San who has toured with Andrea Bocelli, and proclaimed “gifted young tenor” by the New York Times, Grammy Award-winner Joshua Guerrero as Lt. Pinkerton. This devastating saga is one of the most beloved operas of all time.

(The Secret Marriage)

One of the most successful comic operas from the late 18th century. Follow the hilarious entanglements of a father as he attempts to marry off his two daughters, who have their own plans for the future. Confusion runs wild until the secret isn’t a secret anymore. This is the perfect opera for anyone who loves the comedy of Rossini (The Barber of Seville) and the music of Mozart (The Marriage of Figaro).

El matrimonio secreto es una de las óperas cómicas más exitosas de finales del siglo XVIII.
