Florida Grand Opera Outdoor Mother’s Day Concert at The Bass Museum


FREE MUSEUM ADMISSION & FLORIDA GRAND OPERA OUTDOOR MOTHER’S DAY CONCERT IN COLLINS PARK
Sunday, May 10 – Free Bass Museum admission 3:00-5:00PM. Concert begins at 5:00PM

Florida Grand Opera will present a free outdoor concert in Collins Park at the Bass Museum of Art on Sunday, May 10, 2009. The concert will begin at 5:00 p.m., and attendees can come early and enjoy free admission to the Bass Museum of Art from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on the same day.

Cast members from Florida Grand Opera’s current production of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly will perform selections from some of the world’s best loved operas, accompanied by FGO Resident Conductor Andrew Bisantz. The singers will include soprano Shu-Ying Li, who is currently performing the title role of Madama Butterfly, soprano Kate Mangiameli, who performs Kate Pinkerton, baritone Jake Gardner, who sings the American consul Sharpless, and tenor Jeffrey Halili, who performs the role of Goro, the marriage broker.
