Florida Freedom Seizes Victory Over Missouri Thunder in PBR Debut Homestand Finale

The Florida Freedom capped off their inaugural PBR Camping World Team Series homestand with a resounding victory against the Missouri Thunder, winning by a commanding margin of 331.25 to 85.25 at the Amerant Bank Arena.

The Freedom showcased their prowess by successfully riding four out of five bulls, marking the second time this season they achieved an 80% ride completion rate in a single game. “This is fun right here,” said Freedom closer John Crimber, who notched a game-high 89.5 points on Whip. His stellar performance leaves him leading the MVP race with a season record of 7-for-8.

In a back-and-forth match, the Thunder initially pulled ahead with a score from Felipe Furlan, but the Freedom quickly closed the gap. Alex Cerqueira’s ride on Johnny Walker Red and Joao Lucas Campos’s successful attempt on Eyes On Me propelled Florida to a solid lead. Elizmar Jeremias’s ride on Modelo further stretched their advantage, securing the win before Crimber sealed the deal with his final ride.

With this victory, the Freedom improved to 3-4 for the season and climbed from eighth to sixth place in the league standings, now trailing the undefeated Carolina Cowboys. The Thunder concluded their time in Sunrise with a record of 1-2, bringing their season tally to 3-5.

In other action, the Carolina Cowboys maintained their undefeated streak, ending in a tie with the Oklahoma Wildcatters at 175.25 points each. The Cowboys’ Cooper Davis led off with a top performance, while Sage Kimzey’s 86-point ride in the fifth round secured the draw.

Meanwhile, the Austin Gamblers triumphed over the Nashville Stampede, finishing their weekend with a perfect 3-0 record after a 258-87 victory. Ezekiel Mitchell initiated scoring for Austin, followed by an impressive performance from José Vitor Leme.

The Kansas City Outlaws also returned to form with a narrow win over the Texas Rattlers, edging them out 259 to 256.25.

The event concluded with the Shootout Round, where Florida’s Thiago Salgado delivered a remarkable 90-point ride, propelling the Freedom to another victory.
