FLIPANY, a local non-profit that implements nutrition education through the nationally recognized Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters™ program, will team up with ten of South Florida’s most celebrated chefs in taking the NO KID HUNGRY™ pledge at the First Annual FLIPANY Chef’s Up Front culinary extravaganza.
FLIPANY Chef’s Up Front offers a rare dining experience for 100 lucky guests to enjoy a five-course dinner with wine, prepared tableside by A-list chefs including Adrianne Calvo, Andy Trousdale and Cindy Hutson. This is a limited opportunity as there will only be 10 tables of 10, with each chef serving their table of 10. All monies earned from the lavish sit-down dinner, reception and silent auction benefit Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters™, delivered locally by FLIPANY.
This year, Chef Jason Smith from Stephen Starr’s STEAK 954, will headline the event hosted by the W Fort Lauderdale Hotel & Residences. “This is an amazing opportunity for the W Fort Lauderdale Hotel & Residences to showcase local culinary talent and support a great cause. We are happy to support FLIPANY and the great work they do in our community,” said Joshua Summers of STARR Restaurants.
FLIPANY is proud to announce CBS 4 News Anchor Marybel Rodriguez, as the event emcee. The evening kicks off with a light reception provided by Chef Susan from Sisters in Pink catering and fine wines, beers and premium spirits, as well as live entertainment and a silent auction.
Dr. Colin Knight of Miami Children’s Hospital will chair the event and sponsors include W Fort Lauderdale Hotel & Residences, Fresh Beer, Southern Wine & Spirits of South Florida, Performance Foodservice, Empire Seafood, and CBS 4. Other participating restaurants are Le Bistro, Ortanique on the Mile, 3030 Ocean, Bulldog BBQ, Steak 954, Fratelli Lyon, Capital Grille, Chef Adrianne’s, Loulou le Petite Bistro, and BLT Steak.
