FIU School of Hospitality and Tourism Management to Hold First Ever Online Auction To Benefit Future Industry Leaders

Florida International University’s School of Hospitality and Tourism Management will launch their first FIU Hospitality Online Auction on September 3, 2010. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the school’s scholarship program; grants for students to attend industry conferences; and funding for student teaching assistantships. “Ensuring that our students have the opportunity to pursue their dreams of a career in hospitality is our number one priority, and we are thrilled to work with FIU’s dedicated industry partners to embark on this new means of reaching our scholarship goals,” said Dean Joan Remington.

Over 100 auction items are available for bidding from September 3 to October 3, 2010, ranging in price from $250 to $7,500; auction items include:

  • Travel packages from Loews Hotels across the US and Canada, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale, Carnival Cruise Lines, Sandals and Beaches Resorts, InterContinental Hotels throughout China and more;
