FIFA WORLD CUP WATCH PARTIES

With the start of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa just days away, the MIAMI/Host City Bid Committee and the Miami-Dade Sports Commission are planning a series of watch parties throughout South Florida to celebrate the World Cup and build momentum for the bid to bring the 2018 or 2022 to the United States and Miami.

The watch locations are as follows:

The watch parties will offer a great opportunity to catch all of the exciting action of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, enjoy great food and drink, and build momentum for our own World Cup Bid effort.  Each of these sites will provide the opportunity for fans to sign the petition supporting the Miami bid.

As a part of and in support of the USA Bid Committee’s effort to bring the 2018 or 2022 FIFA World Cup™ to the United States, and Miami, the Miami-Dade Sports Commission created the MIAMI Host City Bid Committee to lead the local bid efforts.  Under the leadership of the organization’s Chairman, County Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz, the Sports Commission assembled its own “dream team” to mirror the prestigious group selected to lead the USA Bid Committee.  Members of the committee include:
