Now Open Through July 9
The Front Porch Project, a new month-long photography portrait exhibit by Michael Murphy chronicling South Florida life during the COVID-19 quarantine, is now open at The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale. The walk-through retrospective featuring famous faces is being shown in the space outside of Neiman Marcus.
Captured by professional photographer Murphy, The Front Porch Project features 32 18” x 24” canvas-style portraits illustrating a cross-section of Fort Lauderdale leaders and community members plus well-known entertainers enjoying life from their front porches, yards and places of business. Included in the slice-of-life portrayals are Lisa Scott Founds, CEO of Winterfest; internationally recognized entertainers Latrice Royale (season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race and seasons 1 and 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars), Jim Buff (Electra) andVarla Jean Merman; Kim Vassar, vice president of philanthropy at Arc Broward; Jessica Kersey Rodriguez, director of major gifts at South Florida PBS; Alan Eingold and Robert Hughes of Over the Top; Wilton Manors City Commissioner Paul Rolli and others.
