Miami Spice summer savings are coming to a close but a few local restaurants are choosing to honor the cost-cutting culinary code with inexpensive fine dining specials starting in October.

 

Voted “best discount dining deal” by the New York Times, Café Prima Pasta offers a wide range of delicious homemade pastas, meats, cheeses and fresh seafood served in a comfortable, yet refined atmosphere at 50 percent off from 5p.m. to 6p.m. Monday through Saturday and 4p.m. to 6p.m. on Sundays. The generous discount extends to cocktails and wines from the bar.

 

Nestled in the historic Espanola Way neighborhood, Flame Caffe & Grill- Flame Caffe & Grill vows to continue summer’s guilt-free gastronomic celebration with a three-course, gourmet tasting menu for $32.95.

 

Enjoy the restaurant’s most popular dishes served with thick, grilled slices of rosemary focaccia with a whipped white bean and garlic hummus, followed by a choice of savory French Onion Soup, Roasted Tomato Bisque, Wild Mushroom Vol-au-Vent, Fried Calamari and Shrimp or Caesar Salad. Second course entrées showcase fresh selections from land and sea including Grilled Salmon Steak, Sesame Crusted Yellow Fin Tuna, Mandarin Skirt Steak, Kansas Passion B.B.Q Ribs and Moroccan Chicken. Dinner concludes with a choice of homemade desserts ranging from Profiteroles with Chocolate Fudge, Florida Key Lime Pie or Caramel Apple Cobbler.
