The F1 Academy, an all-female racing series aimed at promoting young female talent in motorsport, will return to the Miami International Autodrome from May 2-4, 2025, as part of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix. This event marks Round 3 of the F1 Academy’s 2025 season and will be its inaugural race in North America.
The 2025 Miami Grand Prix will feature a three-day schedule, including an F1 Sprint weekend format following a successful implementation in 2024. Alongside F1 Academy, the event will also host the Porsche Carrera Cup North America, promising fans a thrilling weekend of diverse racing.
Tyler Epp, president of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, emphasized the commitment to advancing motorsport diversity through the return of F1 Academy. “Susie Wolff and her team have done a phenomenal job… which we wholeheartedly celebrate,” Epp said.
Founded in 2023, F1 Academy aims to lower barriers for young women aged 16 to 25 looking to enter motorsport. Participants receive comprehensive training and support to help them transition to higher tiers of racing, such as Formula 3.
The series features Tatuus-built cars designed for competitive racing, with a top speed of 150 mph. Last May, Abbi Pulling, driving for the Alpine Academy, secured a double victory at the Miami track.
The Miami Grand Prix is held on a 3.36-mile circuit within Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, and has become known for blending world-class racing with Miami’s vibrant culture. Tickets for the 2025 event are now on sale, offering a range of exclusive experiences, including the new McLaren grandstand and various luxury hospitality options.
