EVERY DAY IS EARTH DAY AT MIAMI-DADE PARKS

Saturday, April 20, 2024
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Celebrate Earth Day throughout the month of April with Miami-Dade Parks, where every day is Earth Day!

Celebrations in honor of our precious lands and oceans will take place at various parks and nature centers throughout the County.

Events range from art-themed activities such as Painting at the Park at Castellow Hammock Preserve & Nature Center on April 13, to Hiking at Hattie Bauer Nature Preserve on April 21, to a Sunrise Kayak Excursion at Crandon Park on April 18, as well as several volunteer coastal and park cleanups.

Miami-Dade Parks’ Earth Day main event will be on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park and Campground.

Did you know that outside of Everglades National Park, Miami-Dade County has the greatest acreage of pine rockland in the world? This year’s special event will be focused on our incredible pine rockland, a globally imperiled habitat. The event will feature a variety of environmental education and conservation activities, including an Eco Village with nature-based exhibits, a fun zone with games and activities, a community tree and garden give-a-way, a trail and shoreline cleanup around the park, and expanding the footprint of our pine rockland by planting native plants.
