Etra Fine Art Gallery, a Miami-based gallery, announced today it donated $12,500 in artwork to the Miami-Dade County Public School’s Sixth Annual Education Awards ceremony, known as the “Eddies.” The award ceremony took place at Jungle Island on Friday, June 4.

“I strongly support education and I believe in encouraging and rewarding not only students but educators who surpass our expectations,” said Stefano Campanini, co-owner of Etra Fine Art.

The ceremony, dubbed the “Oscars” of education, honored the school district’s top employees of the year. Among the categories for “Employee of the Year” were best principal, assistant principal, office worker, paraprofessional and municipal employee in the fourth largest school district in the U.S.

For its support in sponsoring the event, School Board Chair Dr. Solomon Stinson presented Stefano Campanini with a Britto Romero plaque with Etra Fine Art Gallery inscribed.
