East End Brasserie, a new traditional French bistro, is set for a soft opening in The Atlantic Resort & Spa on October 27th. Situated oceanfront on the ground level of the hotel in the former Trina space, East End Brasserie will feature all the elements of an authentic Parisian bistro – from a cozy, unpretentious atmosphere to French fare at a modest price. The cuisine by Executive Chef Steve Zobelwill be simple and unassuming, letting the quality and freshness of the products speak for themselves in true European style.
East End Brasserie aims to be Fort Lauderdale’s top destination for sophisticated French fare that’s approachable but inspiring. Executive Chef Steve Zobel, formerly of New York City’s famed bistro Triomphe, which was hailed one of the best restaurants in Midtown, will present culinary creations that reflect what he believes French cuisine truly stands for – the ability to evoke the senses through the subtle techniques of the masters.
“Our goal is to introduce a taste of France and the relaxed vibe of the Côte d’Azur to the Fort Lauderdale market,” said Steve Zobel. “This is an amazing city and we’re excited to contribute to its rising culinary diversity.”
Crafting a menu that combines hearty Provencal dishes, a full raw bar and an artisanal cheese cart, with moderately-priced bistro fare, the restaurant will offer something for everyone, on every occasion.
Menu highlights include:
- Seasonal Vegetable Salad with seasonal vegetable, hearts of palm, avocado, lemon and olive
- Jambon de Bayonne with gruyere, Dijon mustard on a pressed baguette
- Pan Roasted Sea Scallops with porcini mushroom butter and shaved fois gras
- Pan Roasted Chicken Breast and Thigh with artichokes, jalapeño, bacon, garlic and tomato cream
- Mustard Crusted Pompano with braised white beans and escarole
- Pappardelle Noodles with duck confit, pearl onions and veal jus and parmesan
- Moules Frites Prince Edward Island Mussels braised with white wine served with house fries
- Classic Steak Frites served with lemon caper butter or béarnaise sauce
Upon entering the restaurant designed by Cuba-Fernandez Design, guests will be transported to the Côte d’Azur. The interior will feature traditional brasserie elements such as red leather banquettes, comfortable bentwood chairs and white carrera marble table tops. Black wood floors contrasted by dark blue hand-woven raffia walls and steel blue ceilings will define the dramatic atmosphere while the floor-to-ceiling windows offer natural lighting and stunning ocean views. The focal point of the dining room is the deconstructed French chandeliers hanging above the communal oak dining table, while the outdoor terrace offers guests the relaxing soundtrack of ocean waves and a gentle sea breeze. In the Bar Lounge, several glam touches are a tribute to simplicity of design and create a space perfectly suited for conversations with friends or a business meeting.
East End Brasserie will be operated by The Atlantic Resort & Spa’s new ownership team including owner Stacia Allen. “With our dedicated culinary team and welcoming atmosphere, we’re committed to offering the best French experience in Southeast Florida,” said Allen.
