Dynamic Sister Duo Heart Bring “Fanatic Tour” with Special Guest Opener Shawn Colvin to Hard Rock Live on November 4

Dynamic Wilson sister duo Heart will bring their “Fanatic Tour” with special guest opener Shawn Colvin to Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on November 4, 2012 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale, Friday, September 7 at 10 a.m.

Heart’s new record “Fanatic” will be out this October and fans can expect to hear their favorite hits as well as a few songs from the fresh release.

Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson first showed the world that women can rock when their band, Heart, stormed the ‘70s charts with hits like “Crazy on You,” “Magic Man,” “Barracuda,” “Straight On,” and so many more.  Not only did the Wilson sisters lead the band, they wrote the songs and played the instruments too, making them the first women in rock to do so.  Heart continued topping the charts through the ‘80’s and ‘90’s with huge hits like “These Dreams,” “Alone,” “What About Love,” “If Looks Could Kill,” “Never,” and a string of other hits that showcased the sisters’ enormous talents as musicians and singers.

Along the way, music by Ann and Nancy Wilson and Heart sold more than 35 million albums, sold out arenas worldwide, and found their way into the soundtrack of American life through radio, motion pictures, television, and associations with branded sponsors.  Today, songs made famous by Heart are heard in every aspect of contemporary culture.

Nearly 35 years after their first big hit, Ann and Nancy Wilson hit the Billboard Top 10 in 2010 with Heart’s Red Velvet Car and a Top 5 DVD (“Night at Sky Church”).

As individuals, the sisters have also achieved significant success.  Ann sang on songs that were both chart successes and motion picture themes including “Almost Paradise” from Footloose, “Best Man in the World” from The Golden Child, and “Surrender to Me” from Tequila Sunrise, while Nancy composed and performed the scores to a half dozen motion pictures including the award-winning Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous.

The sisters are tireless philanthropic supporters of a variety of organizations including Race to Erase MS, Make a Wish Foundation, Covenant House, Alzheimer’s Association, National Breast Cancer Foundation, TJ Martell Foundation, Matthew Sheppard Foundation, MusiCares, American Heart Association, ASPCA, Humane Society, Susan B. Komen Foundation, Amnesty International, American Red Cross and more.

As a storyteller, South Dakota-native Shawn Colvin is both keen and warm-hearted, leavening even the toughest tales with tenderness, empathy and a searing sense of humor. In the 22 years since the release of her debut album Colvin has won three Grammy Awards, released 10 albums, maintained a nearly non-stop national and international touring schedule, appeared on countless television and radio programs and had her songs featured in major motion pictures and created a remarkable cannon of work.

Combined sales of her albums total more than 2.5 million copies in the US, alone, and Colvin maintains a year-round touring schedule. Over the years Shawn has shared the stage with such legendary artists as Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Hornsby, Don Henley and Lyle Lovett. She appears regularly in a group called Three Girls and their Buddy a “singer-songwriter supergroup” comprised of Colvin, Patty Griffin, Emmylou Harris and Buddy Miller.

Shawn Colvin’s latest album, All Fall Down, is her eighth studio album and the first to be produced by her longtime friend and cohort Buddy Miller (Robert Plant, Solomon Burke). Recorded in Nashville, with a group of stellar musicians, the album features performances by Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Jakob Dylan, Bill Frisell, Viktor Krauss, Brian Blade, Stuart Duncan, and Julie Miller.

The new album was recorded in Miller’s home studio, and each song is deeply personal to Colvin, who describes All Fall Down as “an album about loss but also about redemption and resolution.” The release was simultaneous with her William Morrow/HarperCollins–published memoir, Diamond In The Rough, an insightful and candid look back at her rich lifetime of highs and lows. The wit, lyricism, and empathy found in the book are traits that have long characterized Colvin’s songwriting and her live performances.
