Dromoland Castle, Ireland
Why: With its 450 acres, 18-hole golf course, and pedigree of being the seat of the O’Brien family since the 16th century, Dromoland Castle is an idyllic escape. The in-house genealogist is on hand to help trace Irish roots, the falconer leads guests out on the grounds in falconry experiences, and the cozy fireplaces beckon for an Irish coffee by the hearth.
