Presented by Vine PR, Donuts! Miami’s first and only donut festival, opened to a sold out crowd last Thursday, March 31, 2016 at event space sweetheart, The Wynwood Yard. Over 650 guests noshed on delectable treats from 10 of South Florida’s most beloved and buzzed about donut shops. Over 14,000 donuts were sampled and flavor combinations included everything from bacon and beets, to ice cream and fried red velvet Oreos. Vine PR has already announced the date for next year’s event, Thursday, March 30, 2017 with more details to come.
“From day one our goal was to create an event that showcased South Florida’s amazing donut scene,” said Nikki Deas, co-founder and partner of Vine PR. “We sold out four days prior to the event, which is unheard of, and have already begun the planning to make next year’s event bigger, better and accessible to more people.”
Donuts! participants included Beaker & Gray, Bunnie Cakes, Donut Divas & Fun Foods, Dunkin’ Donuts, Helen & Meyer’s, Krispy Kreme, Mojo Donuts, Parlour Vegan Bakery, Rhino Doughnuts, and YoNutz ~ Gourmet Donuts, Ice Cream & More. Donut lovers crowned Mojo Donuts king of the festival and the winner of the nights Golden Donut Award. Donuts! was sponsored by the Miami New Times, Mar Media and Doink Design and The Wynwood Farmer’s Market. The event featured a number of different beverage partners including: Concrete Beach Brewery, elephantea, Neuro Drinks, VOSS, and coffee provided by Dunkin’ Donuts.
