Donate Gently-Used Cell Phones at Sun Life Stadium and Help Troops Call Home for FREE

In honor of the veteran community and active-duty military serving overseas, the Miami Dolphins have partnered with Cell Phones for Soldiers® to support mobile phone collection efforts that benefit military personnel stationed around the world. Cell Phones for Soldiers is calling on all Florida military and their families to provide APO addresses to receive a FREE calling card. Dolphin fans are encouraged to bring used, unwanted cell phones to the game on Sunday, Nov. 13 vs. the Washington Redskins, presented by GEICO.

Proceeds from the collection and recycling of donated cell phones will allow military men and women to hear their loved ones’ voices during deployment for FREE. Funds raised will be used to purchase pre-paid calling cards for deployed troops. Military and their loved ones should request a FREE international 60-minute calling card at www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com.

“We are so thankful for the generosity of the Miami Dolphins and their loyal fans,” said Brittany Bergquist, co-founded of Cell Phones for Soldiers. “Florida is home to many service men and women and we hope to reach all deployed Florida heroes will free calls home. I’m looking forward to our collection drive at Sun Life Stadium and want to encourage people to come by and say hello.”

The collection drive will take place at the Grand Plaza pregame from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Phones from all service providers are accepted.

Those missing out on Sunday’s game can print off a pre-paid shipping label to donate their unwanted mobile phones at www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com. Monetary donations are also accepted through the Web site.
