DOLPHINS SIGN RICHIE INCOGNITO

The Miami Dolphins have re-signed guard Richie Incognito, it was announced today. The 6-3, 324-pound offensive lineman has started all 63 games that he has appeared in his career, including all 16 games with Miami in 2010 (15 at left guard and one game at center).

In 2009, Incognito started nine games with the St. Louis Rams and three with the Buffalo Bills. He was awarded to the Buffalo off waivers from St. Louis on December 16, 2009 after spending his first five seasons with the Rams. He originally was selected by St. Louis in the third round (81st overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft.

Incognito played collegiately at the University of Nebraska where he was a first-team All-Big 12 selection by the Associated Press. The guard was also named to the conference’s second-team by the league’s coaches as a sophomore. Incognito also earned a spot on the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award Watch Lists and was the first Husker freshman offensive lineman to start in the season opener and was just the third rookie lineman to earn any start in his first year of competition. Born July 5, 1983, Incognito was born in Englewood, NJ and attended Mountain Ridge High in Glendale, AZ, where he earned All-America honors as a senior. He was also named to Prep Star’s 120-man Dream Team.
