The Miami Dolphins signed offensive tackle Patrick Brown and waived offensive tackle Jermey Parnell, it was announced today.
The 6-5, 310 pound Brown joined Miami after being waived by the New York Jets on September 23, 2010. The offensive tackle was originally signed by the Carolina Panthers by a college free agent after the 2009 draft. He was waived by Carolina in September 5 and spent time of the practice squads of the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings before joining the Jets on September 5, 2010.
Brown was a four-year starter at left tackle for Central Florida, where he made 50 consecutive starts, the longest streak in the nation when he finished his career. He was named Golden Knights most outstanding player on offense in 2008. Born, December 25, 1986, Brown attended St. Charles North High School in Illinois.
