Fresh off the heels of the sold-out “Pass The Mic Live!” at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ featuring Boyz II Men, TLC, Bobby Brown, Method Man & Redman, and more, DJ Cassidy announces that the upcoming “Pass The Mic Live!” Las Vegas residency will feature a roster of legendary special guests including Hip Hop icons Public Enemy, Akon, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Too $hort and Warren G, making each show a unique, one-time-only event. Debuting July 5 at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the highly anticipated stint, led by maestro DJ Cassidy and starring Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh, will mark the first Las Vegas residency of its kind, uniting an all-star Hip Hop ensemble solely for this experience. The show will take audiences on an unprecedented musical journey, redefining the art of collaboration and celebration.
“I am truly honored to share a stage with my musical heroes, Public Enemy, Akon, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Akon, Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Too $hort, and Warren G, all of whom will help us redefine the Vegas residency in ways The Strip hasn’t seen since the days of The Sands and The International,” DJ Cassidy explains. “Just as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop united in Las Vegas to form the Rat Pack, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and I will unite to create an experience that will go down in Vegas history. The members of the Rat Pack united as five solo superstars to create a groundbreaking ensemble that could only be witnessed on The Strip, and to this day, the Rat Pack remains the most iconic show in Vegas history. Ja Rule has coined us ‘The Rap Pack,’ and it couldn’t be more fitting. Now, we welcome special nightly guests, each one a cultural icon, so that after you’ve joined us once, you may just need to join us again.”
Presented by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, “DJ Cassidy’s Pass The Mic Live! The Iconic Las Vegas Residency” is set for July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20, 2024, and will be produced in conjunction with music mogul, Steve Rifkind, founder of Loud and SRC Records.
