The University of Miami School of Law will hold its annual Diversity Week from January 20th through January 23rd, 2014. Events will include Diversity in the Bar, featuring Jose Godinez-Samperio, the undocumented Florida State University College of Law graduate who was allowed to sit for the bar exam, but prevented from being admitted because of his immigration status. His court case is still unresolved.
WHERE AND WHEN: Diversity in the Bar will take place on Wednesday, January 22nd at 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. in the Alma Jennings Student Lounge, at the law school on the Coral Gables campus.
Marriage Equality: Practical Implications for a Post-DOMA Landscape will take place on January 22nd from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Student Activities Center Senate Room.
