unnamed-28The ever-popular Design Talks program presented by The Surf Club includes leading figures in the world of architecture and design, with French Illustrator Pierre Le-Tan discussing the value of traditional handcraft in a digital world; landscape architect Peter Wirtz in conversation with Pilar Viladas; a dialogue with Design Visionary Yves Béhar; Bass Museum Executive Director and Chief Curator Silvia Karman Cubiñá moderates a discussion between Nadja Swarovski and Fernando Romero; Harvard Graduate School of Design Dean, Mohsen Mostafavi and Architect Mark Lee address modes of imagination, speculation and conjecture throughout the design process; Design historian Daniella Ohad and David Netto, contributing Design Editor to T, the New York Times Style Magazine look at the history of collecting design.

The talks will be presented December 2-4 in the fair’s Design Talks Studio from 3-4pm and 6-7pm daily.
