Savor the flavors of South Florida on Abiaka’s wood-fired grill this holiday season. Christmas specials include a tuna crudo with kaluga Caviar, grape verjus, and pickled pearl onion; and a braised veal shank with arroz bomba, roasted fall vegetables and veal jus. A buñuelo with guava fig jam and spiced apple ice cream will be available for dessert.

Abiaka will highlight South Florida produce with a salmon tiradito featuring passion fruit and salmon chicharron and a tomahawk steak with roasted piquillo pepper, cipollini onions, chimichurri and a whole grain mustard demi. Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Italian restaurant, Cipresso will offer a pair of Christmas specials: a stuffed squid with English pea risotto, bagna cauda breadcrumb and pepperonata; and a pasta dish of lamb ragu with marsala chitarra and mint mascarpone. The holiday meal will be finished with a warm caramelized panettone with ricotta cream and strawberries.
New Year’s Eve
Cipresso will feature seafood specials including grilled lobster with ossetra caviar, truffle butter, and gremolata or seared scallops with fregola risotto, sunchokes, and hazelnut citrus butter. Countdown to 2023 with a chocolate marble swirl cannoli cake with vanilla ice cream.

Ring in the New Year at Council Oak Steaks & Seafood. The steakhouse will feature various appetizers including a king crab croquette with truffle aioli, and caviar; white truffle pasta with Comté and beurre blanc; Hokkaido scallop crudo, maine uni, meyer lemon relish, and crème fraiche; as well as a caviar and tuna parfait with tapenade, and whipped kefir. Entrees include dry-aged rohan duck with foie gras, hearts of palm, imperial jus, mulberry, and black truffle; a 32-ounce dry-aged A4 wagyu ribeye with truffle pommes anna, smoked lettuce, glace de boeuf; a 10-ounce Kumomoto A5 rib cap with truffle dauphinoise potatoes, carabineros shrimp, and beurre rouge; and rainbow trout with Kurobuta pork, horseradish cream and piquillo relish. Dessert will feature a cherry pine nut tart with port gelato.

The 51st Annual Holiday Parade takes place on Saturday, Dec. 10 starting in the Downtown Area at 6:30 p.m. with a preshow at 6 p.m. The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade will stage on the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, along the docks west of Stranahan House to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Participating boats will be adorned with hundreds of thousands of lights, music, entertainment, decorations, celebrities, musical groups, beauty queens, and many other exciting entries expected to be viewed by over one million spectators.
