HOURS DURING ART BASEL / MIAMI BEACH 2010: DE LA CRUZ COLLECTION CONTEMPORARY ART SPACE

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 THROUGH SUNDAY, DECEMBER 5 – FROM 9 AM TO 4 PM

A 1955 portrait by Salvador Dali of Dolores Suero Falla, Carlos de la Cruz?s mother, inspired our 2010 – 2011 exhibition. Anchored in Surrealism and covering a broad stylistic and conceptual range of works, this year’s installation will try to establish a dialogue between Dali?s portrait and a selection of works from the collection.

The de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space, located in Miami?s Design District opened in December 2009 during Art Basel Miami Beach. This new space serves as an extension to the home of Carlos and Rosa de la Cruz where their collection has been and continues to be available for public viewing.

As part of their educational mission, the de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space has a program that includes rotating exhibitions, permanent installations, student workshops, guest speakers and special projects throughout the year.
