Jonathan Hopp, DCOTA’s Director of Design Services
The Design Center of the Americas welcomes Jonathan Hopp as its new Director of Design Services. He brings more than three decades of wide-ranging experience in residential and commercial interior design working with high end clients worldwide.
Founded in 1999 and based in Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles, his firm Jonathan Hopp Interior Design managed multi-million-dollar projects from Malibu to Manhattan and Switzerland to Tahiti, including 10,000+ square foot estates, luxury vacation homes, and condominiums.
“Legacy, prestige, and unlimited potential describe DCOTA’s unique appeal to professional designers, design enthusiasts, nontrade visitors, and the public,” says Mr. Hopp. “Involvement is paramount in a successful design. Certainly, the most successful projects are a collaboration between designer, client, architect, and builder to synergistically maximize form, function, and comfort. My goal is to offer constant and fluid communications with our clients to make the purchasing process smooth from beginning to end.”
At DCOTA, he will work with numerous luxury showrooms to provide a cohesive, elevated level of service, while optimizing the effectiveness of DCOTA’s Shop the Building Program to offer exceptional value to both design partners and end users. In addition, Mr. Hopp will manage the DCOTA Select Showroom and act as a liaison between DCOTA and South Florida’s professional design community.
In his extensive design career, Mr. Hopp also served as Lead or Senior Interior Designer or Consultant for several prestigious firms, including The Decorators Unlimited in West Palm Beach Florida; Neil Kelly Company in Portland, Oregon; and Staged for Success and Mark Weaver & Associates, both located in Southern California. He is the author of Interior Bliss: How to Decorate Like a Pro Without Breaking the Bank, hosted a monthly design segment on TV for two years on TV, and was featured in such publications as Good Housekeeping, Beautiful Homes & Great Estates, Valley Magazine, and more.
